Fixed Price

  • A fixed Pence Per Litre price that can be agreed and held for fixed future period of time.
  • Typically one-three-six-twelve month periods.
  • Volume must be lifted on an even off-take basis and pre-agreed in advance.
  • The Invoice is generated on the 1st Day of the month of the Fixed price month.
  • This is another 'Take or Pay' Deal.
Trigger Deals

  • Lock in / Fix the Product differentials and premiums (over variable ICE Gasoil and FX) and Trigger the Pricing at time when you believe it is right for you.
  • The physical volume is agreed in advance (e.g month prior) and must be lifted during the agreed CALENDAR MONTH - the physical volume is lifted independent of the pricing / triggering.
  • You are required to exercise your Triggers on an even basis during three periods of the month (ie 1-10, 11-20, 21-30).
  • Triggers are based on 'Lots‘ (1 x Lot = 100 metric tonnes).
  • Customer has the option to Trigger the pricing during the day against live ICE or just before the end of day (which is typically the value that is reported in Platts) - depending on individual preference.
  • Invoice is generated as soon as the notification is received for the Trigger and the number of Lots.
  • If you do not trigger any pricing during the Calendar month then all the Triggers are automatically exercised on the last Platts quotation for the month.
Platts Deals

  • We can offer a VARIETY of ‘Platts’ related Deals based on a range of mechanisms to suit your purchasing requirements.

When you power your FLTs with Calor LPG, you’ll save time and money, while also benefitting the environment. Cleaner and greener than electric or diesel powered models, LPG emissions are free of lead and soot. Even better, when you fit a 3-way catalyst, carbon monoxide emissions are virtually zero, and you can cut your fuel consumption by around 20%.

Refuelling takes minutes rather than hours, and LPG powered FLTs operate effectively indoors and out - even when temperatures are as low as -20˚C. Lifetime running costs can be lower than electric or diesel versions, making LPG the ideal fuel for your Fork Lift Trucks.

Fuel Ablue

Adblue


AdBlue® is an ultra pure solution of urea in demineralised water, used in the latest generation of commercial diesel vehicles for the removal of Nitrous Oxide (NOx), an environmental pollutant. Euro 4 emission regulations introduced from October 2006 further limited the amounts of Nitrous Oxides (NOx) and particulates that commercial diesel vehicles could emit. These limits will reduce again with the introduction of Euro 5 in October 2009 and again in the future. To reach these standards, the majority of truck manufacturers have chosen the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system as a common solution.
The fuel for the SCR system is called AdBlue®. The good news for vehicle operators is that by using the SCR system the engine can be tuned for maximum fuel economy, extracting every last drop of energy from the fuel...giving a fuel saving that should be more than enough to cover the cost of the AdBlue®. To protect vehicle operators from expensive catalyst replacement costs which can be caused by contamination, the vehicle manufacturers specify that only Urea solution produced to DIN70070 should be used in the vehicle.

Equipment prices include delivery if ordered with AdBlue, otherwise add carriage at £15 per order

* There is a deposit of £100 per IBC. This is fully refunded on return within 6 months provided the IBC is in good condition and tamper evident seals on the centre lid are unbroken. IBCs are closed systems to allow re-use under ISO22241 and must be used with the correct pump connector (cannot be opened for use with dip tube type pumps)

Driver CPC is short for 'Driver Certificate of Professional Competence'.
It is a new qualification that all bus, coach and lorry drivers will need to have and is being introduced across the European Union to maintain high driving standards. The Driver CPC is an EU requirement. The Driving Standards
Agency (DSA) is responsible for implementing it in Great Britain and is working with transport industry representatives to ensure it is introduced successfully. You will need to complete 'periodic training' 35 hours of every 5 years to retain your Driver CPC.

Banksman training ensures that organisations meet their legal requirements and reduces the risk of costly accidents when carrying out commonplace, but dangerous reversing manoeuvres.

Who should attend a Banksman Course?
Any person responsible for assisting in the manoeuvring and loading/unloading of vehicles.

What will they learn?
The Banksman course will raise the awareness of the dangers caused when reversing and introduces practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers in this manoeuvre.

Banksman Course content includes:


  • The safe passage of reversing vehicles in confined spaces
  • Identification of areas of danger within sites
  • Demonstration of the HSE and Road Transport Industry Training Board recommended code of signals

This course is designed for persons who have to train and/or assess those who are involved in manual handling in the workplace, By the end of the course delegates will:


  • Understand how manual handling injuries occur
  • Understand civil and criminal liabilities in relation to manual handling

ADR (Hazardous)


All drivers carrying dangerous goods within the scope of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations require a Vocational Training Certificate (VTC) issued by D.V.L.A. The VTC is issued once a driver has satisfactorily completed an approved course.

Supply & Save' Partner offers ADR training courses including the mandatory Core Module, Package Module, Tanker Module and Dangerous Goods Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9.

Initial courses may be taken upon obtaining a full UK driving licence. Refresher courses may be taken 12 months prior to the expiry of a current certificate but not within the last 6 weeks.

DGSA


To comply with the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), companies engaged in the loading, unloading or carriage of dangerous goods by road, rail or inland waterways may have to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).

The cases in which this requirement applies are set out in Chapter 1.8 of ADR, which also explains the role of the DGSA. In the UK, the ADR requirements for appointing a DGSA are enforced under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

DGSA's must be able to demonstrate that they have successfully completed appropriate training, resulting in the award of a Vocational Training Certificate, and have these broad roles:


  • Monitoring compliance with the law.
  • Advising the employer with regards Dangerous Goods.
  • Preparing an annual report of the employers' activities.
  • Monitoring of a range of procedures and safety measures.
